Ubiquity is proud to work with innovators across industries, including the following companies who’ve made headlines in the past month.

Winners Circle

BMTX’s Luvleen Sidhu wins Executive of the Year: BMTX founder and CEO Luvleen Sidhu was named the Fintech Nexus 2023 Executive of the Year for demonstrating outstanding leadership, integrity, performance, and team building within their company while at the same time contributing to the advancement of the industry. Sidhu, who became the youngest female founder and CEO to take a company public at the time of listing, described the year as pivotal for the banking-as-a-service platform.

Current, whose mission is to enable members to change their lives by creating better financial outcomes, won the 2023 Innovation in Digital Banking award. Fintech Nexus said the win recognizes Current’s “strong culture of innovation, producing significant advances in digital banking and digital banking technology.”

Meanwhile, Spike Lipkin, co-founder and CEO of San Francisco-based Newfront, was named to the San Francisco Business Times 2023 “40 Under 40” list. To be considered for this award, candidates must meet strict requirements and are evaluated on their achievements and contributions to their companies and larger communities in the Bay area. Founded in 2017, Newfront has become a top-40 insurance broker based on revenue.

Bringing large language models and GPT to healthcare

Notable launched Patient AI, which it describes as the world’s first use of large language models and GPT to bring personalization at scale to healthcare.

“The entire industry is talking about generative AI and ChatGPT,” said Pranay Kapadia, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Notable. “While others talk, we’ve been busy incorporating LLMs into our intelligent automation platform and the early results are incredibly encouraging.”

For example, Notable’s technology could match a cancer patient who frequently misses appointments because of transportation issues to a one-click ride booking with a rideshare service.

Increasing convenience for gig workers

Payfare adds cash-loading options with NCR. Payfare, which powers instant payouts and loyalty rewards for the largest gig economy platforms in the United States, including DoorDash and Lyft, has expanded their partnership with NCR to give gig workers cash-in as well as cash-out options at Allpoint+ cash-accepting ATMs.

With the addition of Allpoint+ and NCR Pay360, which offers cash access without a physical card, gig workers nationwide will be able to access cash with greater flexibility, ease and speed at convenient locations they know and trust, PYMNTs.com reports.
